First Sacred Defense Theater Festival to Open in Karaj

TEHRAN Head of the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Karaj said that the First Sacred Defense Theater Festival will open in Karaj in the near future.
Hojjatoleslam Shafi'i Poursadri, in an interview with Persian service of IRNA, said that the festival will be held simultaneous with the Sacred Defense Week, September 23-29.
He underlined that some 54 play scripts have so far been received by the secretariat of the festival, 32 of which will be staged during the festival.
The head of the Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance noted that the festival will be held in two theater halls in Shahid Chamran Park and Mohammad Shahr's Cultural House.
